Privacy Notice
Last updated: September 9, 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
While Uni-Queue remains a capstone project, the student developer team is the party responsible for the personal data collected through the system (the "personal information controller" under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, RA 10173). We can be reached at uniqueue.batstateu.arasof@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
- Account information — name, student/staff email address, and, if you sign in with Google, the profile information Google shares with us (name, email, profile photo).
- Queue & transaction data — the office and service you queue for, timestamps, queue number, and status (waiting, served, cancelled, no-show).
- Priority-lane information — if you request priority handling (e.g. PWD or pregnancy status), we record that status so office staff can verify and honor it. This is sensitive personal information under RA 10173 and is only visible to the office staff serving your transaction and system administrators.
- Feedback — ratings and comments you submit after a transaction.
- Technical data — session cookies used to keep you logged in (see Cookie section below).
3. Why we collect it
- To operate the queueing system: create your account, assign and track your queue ticket, and notify you as your turn approaches.
- To let office staff verify and prioritize requests fairly (priority-lane data).
- To generate aggregate reports (wait times, throughput) for offices and admins.
- To respond to feedback and improve the system.
4. Who can see your data
Office staff assigned to the office you're queueing at, and system administrators, can see the account and transaction data needed to serve you. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with outside companies or advertisers. We do not run any advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
5. How long we keep it
6. Google Sign-In
If you choose "Continue with Google," we request only your basic profile (name, email, profile photo) to create or log you into your Uni-Queue account. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, or other Google data.
7. Cookies
Uni-Queue uses one essential session cookie to keep you signed in. It does not use advertising or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Notice for details.
8. Your rights
Under RA 10173, you have the right to:
- Be informed that your data is being processed (this notice);
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate data;
- Request deletion or blocking of your data, subject to legitimate operational needs;
- Object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission if you believe your rights have been violated.
To exercise any of these rights, email uniqueue.batstateu.arasof@gmail.com.
9. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the project develops — particularly if the university formally adopts the system, which would change who is responsible for your data. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
